Catalogue and bibliography are of synonymous terms indicating list of books or documents but there lies a basic difference between this two terms 1. Catalogue is a list of books available in a particular library or libraries on the other hand bibliography is a list of documents published either by author or subject or on a geographical entity 2. Catalogue shows the location of the document in which particular library document will be available or not but bibliography does not shows the location of document .It is merely a list of generalized collection and not a particular collection 3. Catalogue is indicated by its call number and accession number but bibliography is followed by its class number not by accession number 4. catalogue is followed by code such as (AACR2R ,CCC, RDC etc) but bibliography does not follow any code 5.
